Adam Hendrickson

Adam Hendrickson is originally from Jamestown, North Dakota where his parents Arvin and Virginia, own and operate a ranching and farming operation. Growing up Adam spent most of his time working on the ranch and riding horses. After graduating from High School, Adam attended the National American University in Rapid City, South Dakota where he earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business. During college, Adam worked for Don Ulmer riding reining and cow horses. After graduation, Adam moved to Watkins, Colorado to ride for Darren Miller, training reining and working cow horses. While working for Darren, Adam showed in his first aged event and earned the Reserve Championship in both the Limited & Intermediate Open Divisions riding Ruf Hollywood Night. After working for Darren Miller for two and a half years, Adam decided to focus more on reining and went to work for Dr. Steve Schwartzenberger. Adam captured several titles throughout the two years that he worked at Schwartzenberger Equine's ranch in Colorado. During his first year as Steve's assistant, Adam won multiple Open, Intermediate Open & Limited Open titles aboard Spooktacular. | Championship in all three open divisions for the Rocky Mountain Reining Horse Association. Riding the same horse that had helped him capture the 2007 year end awards, Adam won the Open & Intermediate Open Affiliate Finals as well as the NRHA Saddle Series Open division. At the Western Slope Reining Horse Association Show Adam & Lil Ruf McCue captured the Championships in the Limited Open, Intermediate Open & Open Derby. Continuing on in 2008 with Lil Ruf McCue Adam became the Limited Open Reserve Champion at the Gordyville Breeders Classic. Adam's abilities as a trainer & showman were showcased at the Eastern Slope slide when he took the Championship & the Reserve Championship as well as third place in the Intermediate Open aboard three different horses. Little did Adam know that at his next show, the Rocky Mountain Reining Horse Association Summer Slide, he would not only win a major aged event but that he would also meet his future employer by tying him for the title. At the 2008 RMRHA Summer Slide Adam posted a score of 221 aboard Lil N Trouble which earned him the Co-Championship in the Open Stallion Stakes Futurity, Open Futurity & Intermediate Open Futurity as well as taking the top spot in the Limited Open Futurity. |

Adam's most recent win came at the 2009 Denver Stock Show where he was Reserve Co-Champion in the Dodge Invitational Freestyle riding to Chris Ledoux's song 'This Cowboy's Hat'. Adam joined Leclair Performance Horses in February 2009 and looks forward to many successful show seasons as part of the Leclair Team! |
